Sunday is always a fun-filled day with activities. As usual, today started well. I woke up early, tidied up my room, and prepared for church service. The service was deeply spiritual, the music, choir rendition, sermon, and every other aspect went smoothly.
After the service, I decided to take some pictures with friends before heading home to prepare for the first Rotaract fellowship of the year.
Truly, the thought of meeting my Rotary/Rotaract family again after a long time filled me with so much joy because Rotaract meetings are always fun-filled, educative, and entertaining. So, I got home, ate, did a few things, and before I knew it, boom ! it was 4 p.m., time for Rotaract.
But before I brief you on how the meeting went, I believe you’d love to know what the Rotaract Club is all about.
What is Rotaract?*
Rotaract clubs bring together people ages 18 and older to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service.
In communities worldwide, Rotary and Rotaract members work side by side to take action through service. From big cities to rural villages, Rotaract is changing communities like yours.
What’s involved?
Rotaract members decide how to organize and run their clubs, manage their own funds, and plan and carry out activities and service projects. Rotary club sponsors offer guidance and support and work with your club as partners in service.
Arriving at the venue of the fellowship, the atmosphere was filled with joy as I exchanged pleasantries with other members. We chatted about Christmas, politics, sports, and a variety of other topics because, in Rotaract, we learn a bit of everything.
Not long after, the president called the fellowship to order by striking the gavel on the bell. The meeting began immediately with the Rotaract prayer and grace.
Today's fellowship was tagged;
POPCORN FELLOWSHIP
FEATURING
Meet and greet
Rotaract reminders
Rotaract Songs
Project Plans.
Games.
AOB.
So we enjoyed the popcorn and truly the meeting was awesome. After exhausting the agenda for the meeting, the fellowship was called to a close at around 6:15pm and we all took photos and smilingly departed.
Don’t forget it’s Sunday, and as tradition demands, Sunday is always my sit-out day, a time to unwind from the stress of the previous week and recharge for the new one. So, I found a relaxing spot with cool music and spent part of my evening there before heading back home to prepare for the next day.
Thanks for stopping by @nsigo1 blog.
Now tell me how you spent your Sunday.
