The smog ‘s intensity though have reduced but due to night and morning fog and accumulation of dust and smoke because of dry weather, the starting and ending hours of day used to be hazy. Sun shines but the pollutant clouds does not let its rays to reach earth and provide apricity to beings.
Yeaterday , there was sprinkling of rain drops. It was not drizzling as it was just a spirkle. But it was very usedul. First of all the wheat crop is in need of proper nourishment. Many farmers are facing water scarcity as smog is drying up their crop before time and there is a long queue of farmers waiting for there turn to get their share of water. Yesterday’s sprinkle might have granted few more days to them.
Secondly, that sprinkle washed down all the dust. A few portion of stuck dust was taken away by winds and remaining was washed down by the rain and today sky was clear. The distant mountains which I wasn’t able to see from last 15 days was appearing very clear and beautiful.
The sun was shining with all its radiance providing apricity to us.
Along with many beautiful aspects of winter, apricity is also eminent. I remember the line of one of my friends. On replying to my question of what she was doing, she replied,”I am soaking and seaking the sunshine”. Seaking is not an english word but english version of an urdu word and we both giggled at that.
Sitting in sunshine, eating oranges and yawning is one of the things, all of us do especially of asian origin. The sun does not provide apricity to all people, only few are blessed with it.
The green fields, the busy roads and radiant sunshine , all were giving an amazing vibe today. The fields were watered and the wind was feeling like a cold breeze due to that water. The sun was shining and this mixture of warm coldness called apricity was very delightful to experience. And I took full advantage of it.
