In a new development, it was announced that Gods Unchained has teamed up with Amazon Prime and its gaming initiative, Prime Gaming. Where people who have Amazon Prime can get different in-game goodies, let us take a look at what you need to do and what you get.
Where and how to get it and what are you getting?
There are a few ways to get to the Prime Gaming site to claim the free stuff. The two easiest ways are to either access it directly from Twitch, the streaming platform. But perhaps you do not watch streams there, or at all? Then you can just GOP directly to the site; https://gaming.amazon.com/
Once at the site, you need to log in to your Amazon account. This is for you to be able to claim any of the stuff there. After that, you simply need to scroll down and start looking for the Gods Unchained entry. Then click the "Claim" button and it will take you to the page that is specific for the Gods Unchained content.
There you can now see what Gods Unchained-related content you will be able to get. In this case, you will get 5 rare Core Packs, not super interesting unless you're fairly new. But you will also be able to get 1 Rare Core Pack - Core Domain Pack. According to the Gods Unchained twitter account it is a "Core Nature Domain Pack". I guess it has only nature cards in it due to that name. Sadly I cant confirm this as the client crashed when I opened that card pack. Meaning I have no idea of what car I got. =(
In order to claim the card packs you first have to link your Gods Unchained account with your Amazon Prime account. This is done by simply clicking the "Link account" button, it then takes you to the Gods Unchained page and there you click the log in with your Amazon account. Then you have an option to "link" them. After you have linked your accounts just head back to the Prima Gaming site and you should be able to claim the card packs.
Why is the Gods Unchained team doing this?
Hopefully, this is the first marketing step before getting the mobile game out the door. And fingers crossed it will get more eyes on the game either way. And more players is a great thing in my book. It is also something I think the game is in desperate need of. Unlike the whole "rising tides rais all ships" thing people keep saying. Wich by the way is not true. It sinks some ships as well. And a new bull run will not magically make people play more games, even if they are "play to earn".
But hopefully, this is the first of many similar steps that will bring in more people to the game. At least that's what I hope. Now they just need to balance the last expansion and get rid of the bugs and we are good to go.
What are your thoughts on this, do you think it is a good addition, or is this sort of thing not your cup of tea? Also what type of free stuff would you like to see them add in the future, please sound off in the comment section below.
