I found that the most interesting Supermen are the evil ones. Superman himself is too iconic, too good, too clean, and all-too powerful so as to be extremely boring. It is only when he traverses the barrier of morality and becomes supremely evil that he becomes scary, interesting, and impactful. One good example is the Injustice Superman, the action figure of which I may feature here soon.
This cyborg Superman is among the best of the villainous Superman versions. This version is Zor-El, and the action figure comes from McFarlane Toys.
McFarlane has had a lot of misses since it started the DC Multiverse line in 2020, almost concurrent with the start of the pandemic. However, its hits are a lot more than his misses. This one is among the best of its releases in my humble opinion.
The details are decent considering its price, and the articulation is above average. I especially like the machine parts such as the large clawed hand and the exposed sinister teeth. The blend of blue and silver is also well-balanced and good, which is mostly a credit to the comics designers and not the necessarily the action figure.
I'm also quite happy with the face sculpt, with the red eyes and handsome Superman features, despite and probably even because of the monstrosity of Brainiac's machine intrusion and corruption.
All in all, a very exceptional piece of work. Again, thanks, Todd. I hope you continue with the good work with the DC Multiverse line.
