@steevc just finished a 5.3km run, that lasted for 34 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 394.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
I want to get back into a good running routine and that tends to mean doing an outing when I am at work. I do not want to get up super early to do one or run in the dark when I get home. We have changing facilities and showers, but when I got there the toilet was in use and I had to go in search of another as I need to go before running. It was a bit of a walk.

It was quite a nice day and significantly warmer than my last outing so I was okay in a t-shirt. I decided to try the hill and it was really hard work. It is fairly steep and feels endless. I did walk up it a bit to catch my breath. I just hope I can build up my fitness in the next couple of months to make it a little easier.

I did start off a little quicker than my recent runs, but I am not going too crazy for now. I had a slightly different route in mind, but the curving roads made me lose my sense of direction again. It was okay as the distance was enough for now. It is mostly downhill on the way back, but there is another uphill stretch at the end.

I just need to keep this up through the year. I may even actually do a parkrun soon.

Run free!

I think morning is the best time for running, especially during the summer.

Well it's better to run than not. I try to avoid really hot times anyway.

Wow, it definitely looks a lot different than it is over here. I've still been struggling with my lung capacity since I had Covid. I don't know if it takes a while to get back to normal or if I am going to have to visit the doctor eventually.

I'm not sure if my lung capacity is down. If I join a gym they may do a fitness assessment so I can see where I am at. I think nearly 2 months off running has knocked me back a bit.

Its the middle of winter and I'm surprised to see green grass in your corner of the world.

Well we don't get much snow and it's wet enough to keep the grass healthy. It's possible it could turn cold again though.

So, you could manage to run for 34 minutes while at work! Are you the employer or an employee? :)

Good progress it seems. Keep up the good work!

I have a lunch break and they don't care as long as I do my hours.

Noted :)

Good progress 👍

Decent time Steve. I've been threatening to lace up my own running shoes, I'll have to actually do it one of these days.

Not everyone likes running, but I quite enjoy it really. It seems I inspire a few people here.

Yep, -4C last week, 10C today... utterly bonkers!

Went for a run wearing a coat today, ended up having to take it off and carry it, it was so warm!

The hills are a pain!

I quite like it around 5-10C as I don't get too hot.
