@steevc just finished a 6.08km run, that lasted for 36 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 436.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
When I woke up I was not thinking that I should be running, but then realised that I needed to get out there. I am helping at parkrun tomorrow (for the 50th time!) and so will not run then. It is distinctly warmer than my run on Wednesday, but then it rained a little.

I used to do the run to Stotfold a lot, but have tended to avoid it during the week as there can be a lot of kids going to school. It is half term, so they would not be around this week. I went via the new road and Etonbury woods. It was not too muddy there, but it has been damp lately.

I started off fairly gently, but picked up the pace a bit. This route is fairly flat with not too many roads to cross. I have definitely been improving so far this year and it is good to be running under that 6min/km 'barrier'. I know others will be much quicker, but this is what I can do for now.

It was fairly quiet out there, but I saw a lady from parkrun and the guy who empties all the bins. He always says 'Hello me old mate' even though we do not really know each other.

I am feeling the effects of recent runs for a while afterwards, but I think that shows that I was trying hard. I just tend to allow at least a day of recovery. Strava has a tool to compare how you are doing with previous periods. I am doing a fair bit less distance than previous years, but I hope to improve on that too. I want to get back to 30km per week at least.

Run free and stay well.

Pushing for a million, but I get a lot of spammy votes (and comments) from some idiot that do nothing. Such is Hive.

That looks like a really nice path to run on. I did weights and some jogging in place this morning for my workout. My wife did weights as well upstairs. We have some new paths near our house that I am looking forward to checking out when the weather gets better.

That new road will be surrounded by houses soon. That will mean some new roads so I can have more options for routes. A lot of people are not happy about all the building as it will mean more traffic, but it is going to happen anyway as there is a lot of demand for housing, especially withing commuting distance of London.

I need to do more strength workouts as I'm sure it improves my running.

Our weather is looking variable over the next week, but should stay above freezing.

Oh, that sucks. I guess if they are going to be filled though it isn't a bad thing. Here they build communities and then they just sit vacant sometimes.

I think there is money to be made from building, but you would think that they need to sell them. It means losing some more countryside and is happening all around the village. The place has changed a lot in the 30 years we have lived here. We did build a house ourselves of course on land we owned.

I'd like to build our own house as well, but it costs so much these days. Something like two to three times the same price you might pay for a home that is already built. It's sad to see green spaces going away.
