Where should I start from, should I talk about the fuel subsidy removal that put the whole nation in turmoil or should I talk about the hike in food prices that are becoming outrageous by the day. The stuff you bought for an amount yesterday, going to get that same stuff today, you will find that the price has increased greatly. The chant on our lips is * where are we headed like this*.
I can relate with the fact that there is a lot of pressure on the number one man of my country and that he has a lot of responsibilities, yes I know but does that mean that he should not enact policies that would better the lives of the masses? Hnmm, my T.pain government doesn't understand this at all. The change they preach is only in a broom.
I'm sure it is not easy being the president, sitting on an executive chair all day in a large office with several secretaries, bodyguards and ministers at your beck and call. Yes, I'm sure it's not easy being Mr President, with access to the country's millitary arsenal and armoury, with access to several presidential jets used to travel to different countries all over the world. Mr President is not enjoying at all 😁.
Maybe he doesn't even eat, he doesn't relax and he doesn't unwind. Maybe all he does is to work, work and work or maybe he sits in his office all day, closed off to the happenings on the outside. He is not enjoying at all o. Let me try to understand his plight 😜.
What if...?
If and I repeat if I am made president for a day, there are certain things I would do to alleviate the difficulties of the masses. I know 24 hours would not be enough to repair the damages done over many years but I could at least try to come with policies that would positively affect the citizens, especially if I am assured of my policies being implemented.
#1. Subsidize health care:
Health is wealth and a healthy nation equals a wealthy nation. The amount of bills that many have to pay just to get good medical care is shocking. This is why many people especially at the grassroot level don't visit hospitals when they are sick.

They prefer to go for herbal remedies. I would for that day create a policy that would reduce hospital fees greatly for the masses.
#2. Recommend fuel retail price
Fuel subsidy removal caused a lot of hardship on the masses that even the rich are crying. Taking commercial transport to work is now a hassle as the hefty transport fare is a huge burden on the masses. The painful part Is that most fuel stations don't sell at the same price.

Some sell at a very high price and only a few sell at a moderate price. I would not only subsidize fuel but I would also enact a policy to regulate price all over the country. I would also create a regulatory body that would be tasked with enforcing the recommended fuel price.
#3. Impose Agriculture
I would enact a policy to lease lands for agricultural activities. Any citizen that is willing to comply with going into farming, would get lands at very cheap rates. Of course I am Mr President, no I mean Madan president 😁, so I can do what I want freely. I answer to no one (coughs).

#4. Lift ban on crypto
There's a ban on crypto and it's dealings in my country and its effect is still felt through binance. I would lift that ban and allow fcrypto trading on binance freely.
#5. Share the national cake
Lastly as president for a day, I would create offices and posts and fill them up with my friends, family and loved ones as employees, so that they can cash out and enjoy the cake even if it's just for a day.

Now I have taken care of the people what about me. I will issue a check for myself and use the funds to rest my tired head. If you call me Madam president, you are not wrong but I can't kill myself 😂.
