In today's society, empowering women and girls has become a crucial focus in recent years. Efforts are being made to address gender equality and promote equal opportunities. Advocacy for women's rights and empowerment has led to positive changes and progress across various sectors of society.

However, in the midst of pushing for the empowerment of women and girls, it is important to also consider the empowerment of the boy child within our environment. Guys in my country, just like females too, face societal expectations and pressures that can impact their well-being and development.
The country is bad enough for everyone, but the people that face the pressure the most are the guys because they have a lot to shoulder and bothering of their family to bear. As a guy, if your woman is not relying on you, your sisters and mothers are meaning they have to strive to get everything they want.

I am not a big fan of gender equality because normally, or genderly, we are not equal, and there are some specific roles that a guy must place in the society for it to be in balance. Now, don't get me wrong.
I love the fact that women are being empowered today, and I hope more of them get empowered, but the fact remains, there are things a lady would get easily that a guy, even with an unlimited amount of skills, would find it hard to get. It is sad to say that in our society, the people pushing for women's empowerment aren't even putting that zeal into fighting for male empowerment because they believe they are guys and they can figure it out themselves.
One thing about my country is that traditionally, provision norms and expectations often place an emphasis on masculinity and toughness for boys, which can limit their emotional expression and personal growth. Guys mostly tough it up even when they are at their lowest and need help. I believe this is a rigid stereotype of the male gender.

In conclusion
I love the fact that women are now empowered and are now included in most of the things that shape our society. We now have women in sports, government, and leadership roles, among many others. Like they say, what a man can do, a woman can do better, but while we are aiming for the empowerment of the female gender, we shouldn't forget the gender that has been in place, building the society to the place it is before the notion of empowerment came in place. While the people settle for women's empowerment, they should do the same for the men to strike a balance.
