The Importance of Empowering Both Genders

In today's society, empowering women and girls has become a crucial focus in recent years. Efforts are being made to address gender equality and promote equal opportunities. Advocacy for women's rights and empowerment has led to positive changes and progress across various sectors of society.

However, in the midst of pushing for the empowerment of women and girls, it is important to also consider the empowerment of the boy child within our environment. Guys in my country, just like females too, face societal expectations and pressures that can impact their well-being and development.

The country is bad enough for everyone, but the people that face the pressure the most are the guys because they have a lot to shoulder and bothering of their family to bear. As a guy, if your woman is not relying on you, your sisters and mothers are meaning they have to strive to get everything they want.

I am not a big fan of gender equality because normally, or genderly, we are not equal, and there are some specific roles that a guy must place in the society for it to be in balance. Now, don't get me wrong.

I love the fact that women are being empowered today, and I hope more of them get empowered, but the fact remains, there are things a lady would get easily that a guy, even with an unlimited amount of skills, would find it hard to get. It is sad to say that in our society, the people pushing for women's empowerment aren't even putting that zeal into fighting for male empowerment because they believe they are guys and they can figure it out themselves.

One thing about my country is that traditionally, provision norms and expectations often place an emphasis on masculinity and toughness for boys, which can limit their emotional expression and personal growth. Guys mostly tough it up even when they are at their lowest and need help. I believe this is a rigid stereotype of the male gender.

In conclusion

I love the fact that women are now empowered and are now included in most of the things that shape our society. We now have women in sports, government, and leadership roles, among many others. Like they say, what a man can do, a woman can do better, but while we are aiming for the empowerment of the female gender, we shouldn't forget the gender that has been in place, building the society to the place it is before the notion of empowerment came in place. While the people settle for women's empowerment, they should do the same for the men to strike a balance.

I agree that empowering women is very important, and it's great to see the progress we're making in society. But you're also right about how men are also facing lot of pressure, especially in this our country that they are often expected to take care of everyone or everything. To me I think both the genders need support in different ways. We all know that women empowerment has brought lot of changes(good) but let no forget the challenges men are also facing. If we want everything to be balanced then we must make sure everyone both the men and women are empowered to reach their full goals.

See as you wrote this like a professor in the art of empowerment.
This is a well written and thoughtful comment.
You are very right! When things are meant to be done, there should be a striking balance

Sigh! I had to hold on to my thoughts because this was really deep. I mean the pressure is everywhere but most times, we are focused on empowering only the women. I agree that men have to be empowered too.

sigh! I love the fact that women are being empowered, but the power women possess as women is already overwhelming. It's sad that the male gender has been left to sort things themselves, and this has led to male misfortune in society. Balance is needed in this area.

Men are constantly battling for their lives each and everyday. But they’re supposed to provide for the family too. Now , tell me how they are going to provide when they have no opportunities all in the name of women empowerment.
We really need to find a balance .

Very true
I watched an interview with some feminist who said they want equality between men and women. Then a general said, will it be ok if they draft women to countries with war and they lift the ban on never shooting at women or children at war. They said no, there are ways women can help but they shouldn’t be drafted into the military and sent to war
He replied: then that’s not equality.

There are fields women should be empowered but they shouldn’t forget the place men need empowerment too

First of all, what a man can do, a woman cannot do better. We each excel in our own individual strength. Basically the concept of empowerment is not even supposed to be a competition. It's quite unfortunate that some mischievous people has politicize the whole thing. Hopefully, we will get it right.

Very true; they have politicized it for their own agenda, and this is why so many things that seemed absurd before are now accepted in our society.

nice topic. i love how women are empowered recently. i just hate it that to empower women, some are belittling men. i think there are ways to empower women without bringing the other sex down.

Very true, I believe some people have their own hidden agenda in pushing this agenda. Its sad that something this simple has been turned into a competition
