Change is constant, and so are the lessons of life.

Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. When they said change is constant, we felt it only affects a few aspects of our lives, but the truth is that change affects everything that concerns us and leaves nothing untouched. Over time, you get to see a lot of things about you change, financially, emotionally, physically, and mentally. It takes time to notice that you are no longer the way you used to be, but at some point, when you look back at how things were with you, your looks, and how you react to situations and try to compare them with how you do now, you will come to realize that a lot has changed and changes most of the time indicate growth, especially if changes observed are positive; it shows you are doing your best to better your life and are in the right direction.

Sometimes negative changes come our way too, and most times it is not our will and beyond our control, and we just have to find a way to deal with it, as letting it eat us up will do us no good.

The lessons that come with life are constant as well, just that you get to learn different lessons, but learning one or two lessons daily or weekly is assured. Some of these lessons helped a lot of us realize that we need to get to work and try to get our lives together as we have no one coming to save us. Looking back at a year ago and comparing to now, oh yes, I have grown in so many ways. How I react to things, how I reason, my financial life, and how I see things have changed completely and are no longer the way they used to be.

There were days I reacted to every little thing, but I realized I was only harming my mental health, and currently I only react to things that require me to react, and if it does not really require me to react, I just let them slide. Not reacting to everything helps you to be more at peace, while reacting to everything just takes away your peace and adds to the problem. Not everything requires reacting is one of the things this year has taught me. There is a lot going on already, and reacting to everything does not help; rather, it adds to the problem, so sometimes you act blind and act like you did not see, especially when people try to get on your nerves.

With how harsh the economy became in the space of a few months, this year has also helped me develop a great sense of empathy. People are going through a lot, and not all of them speak about it or want to share their story, so before you judge them for their actions or looks, try to put yourself in their shoes; try to hear their story; don't just stay from afar and judge or draw a conclusion. Everyone is feeling the heat of how our country's economy has dewindled, so before you conclude about a person, put yourself in their shoes.

That’s actually one of the greatest lessons ever! Reaction requires a lot of energy and also takes serious toll on mental health. I’m glad for the sake of your own mental health, you are letting unnecessary things slide.
