Hello friends, Hivians and all members of the Shadow Hunter's Community. I hope all is well, for me I'm getting by as I have been busy the last few days. Today I make an entry into the Reflection Hunters Contest Round 185 hosted by @olgavita.
It was this past Saturday I decided to go fishing by a nearby pond. It was a sunny day and the temperature was quite nice. In between my fishing activity I was able to capture a few reflection photos which I will share with all of you.
I like this one the most because everything that has mass is reflected perfectly in the water. The trees, camping shelters and even the cars in the parking lot made an appearance. It's pretty cool when everything gets in on the reflection 😃
It's always a joy to see waterfowl present while out at a body of water. These geese were quite a distance away but it was not a problem capturing them with my new phone. I can zoom in up to 30X with it compared to just 5X with my previous one. Though the elements didn't provide the best of reflections, it at least provided some.
Not all reflections are casted equally. Though these reflection are blurred the still give some color on top of the water's surface. I also witnessed some color for another reason. One of the trees has a fall season feel with its multi colored leaves. My favorite season of all, I hope it is a long fall this year 🍂 🥮 🍁
I wasn't trying to document the arrival and set up of two individuals fishing but it just appears that way. I only witnessed them catch two fish the two hours they sat there. Now did there blurred images in the water have anything to do with their lack of catching?
I had a much better experience then both of them as I caught around 20 fish. I was fishing around a few others that did a bit better than those two. One individual came up to me and asked what I was using. He even asked if he could take a picture of what I was using 😆 I thought that was pretty desperate and funny.
That was a first for me so I felt generous and gave him a few different colors of that jig I was using. I also gave him some free advice on what colors to use based on water clarity. He was grateful and I bet I will see him here again.
Well I hope you enjoyed these reflections. It was nice catching some fish along with some reflections. I guess I knocked out two birds with one stone this day.
Thats all I have for you this time. Take care, stay safe and enjoy the rest of the week. Until next time!
All photos were taken by me with my Samsung Galaxy S24+ smart phone.
