Reflection or shadow hunting has become a fun activity that even when I am not intentionally looking, comes to my attention, even in the most unexpected places. For instance, the pictures I'm sharing today were photographed in the corridors of the surgery complex.
These were taken around 10 in the morning, an hour after my old man was wheeled into the operating room. The blue bottom walls gave a cool touch to the corridors. While there, I distracted myself by checking the charts and from what I saw, the performances of that department were quite good.
This on the other hand was captured at 11:30 in the morning. I was headed to Dad's room when I noticed the reflections of the doors (and lights) on the shiny floor tiles.
Perhaps I was just distracting myself from worrying too much about how the surgery was going I took pictures of almost everything, even the evacuation plan while inside Dad's room.
Even the wheelchairs along the corridors of the private wards had reflections. These were photographed around noon time.
This pic was snapped at 12:41 noon time. The reflections of the bench and other things were quite clear. While the OR complex was busy with various surgeries, the corridors were empty, except for me and another woman who was waiting for her daughter.
The waiting chairs and other stuff were mirrored on the floor in the corridors beside the nurses' station near the balcony. Based on the timestamps, they were photographed at 10:32 am and 3:19 pm respectively.
At almost half-past two in the afternoon, one of the nurses inside the OR complex called for me. I was given a long list of prescriptions so I went to the hospital's pharmacy on the ground floor and got these. They were for my Dad's use in the recovery room.
The tree from the outside, including the flag, the door, and a part of the balcony railings were mirrored on the floor. It was raining hard at that time so I quickly took this shot and
I assumed the surgeries were over as the interns were out in the corridor. They were noisy discussing what they had observed inside the operating rooms. I discreetly took this photo upon noticing their reflections. Unfortunately, the pic is blurry.
They were instructed to leave so the corridors became quieter. I liked the faint reflections of the bed (and others) on the floor so I quickly snapped a pic.
These are just part of my memories not so long ago during my Dad's surgery at the hospital and also my non-contest participation in the Reflection Hunting initiative by Olgavita.
Happy Sunday, frens!
