What do you think this shadow is?
To me it looks like some kind of 1980's AI robot reading the newspaper. Think Johnnie 5 from the 1986 movie. 'Short Circuit'.
Okay I'll put you out of your misery. This is the origin of the shadow.
Can you see what it is now?
Its a pair of binoculars on the beach promenade of Camber Sands in East Sussex. I took these photographs when we were on holiday a couple of weeks ago and i saved it for the #shadowhunters contest organised by @melinda010100 and her team of curators and supporters.
The large lumps of stone you can see below are to protect the shoreline from erosion by the sea. Not as picturesque as these groynes but functionally just as good.
Running a contest takes a lot of effort from many people. This is what makes a community thrive.
Creativity is important but community is essential. Get involved and have fun.
