If you like grapes, maybe you won't think that there are many people who don't like grapes. Including in my area.

Our country is not a provider of grapes with good tasting qualities. Even if it has good taste quality then it will be expensive. Many of our people don't like grapes because they have generalized all the types of grapes out there.

What about me? My best type of grapes actually comes from the green grape type from Japan "shine muscat" which is sweet and crunchy. But the price per kilo reaches $6-7.

For in genaral grapes that are purplish in color, I haven't found the best. As I will make roasted grapes this time it is a sour type of grape. So, I looked for other alternatives to enjoy these grapes.

Indeed, I don't always get the type of grapes that taste sour. But once I got sour grapes, I thought about mixing these grapes with other ingredients to manipulate or reduce the sour taste.

Have you ever heard of roasted grapes? Honestly, this is the first time I tried this method to eat grapes and I really liked it! It started when I got the idea from a video on YouTube that served grapes by roasting them and then serving them with toast.

Because I didn't have olive oil, I modified the recipe to use coconut oil in the liquid version.

Coconut oil certainly has a unique fragrance. So, stay tuned for the recipe. :)

The Ingredients

  • 250 grams of grapes
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • salt to taste

Cooking Instructions

STEP 1

Prepare the grapes. Prepare a bowl filled with water, then add one teaspoon of baking soda. Or, vinegar. Baking soda or vinegar will help remove dirt and pesticides from the skin of the grapes.

Soak the grapes in water to which baking soda or vinegar has been added. At this step, I don't remove the grapes from the stems so that the baking soda water doesn't get into the fruit. Soak for at least 15 minutes.

STEP 3

After soaking in baking soda or vinegar, then drain and wash thoroughly with running water. Then, dry it with a paper towel.

STEP 4

Don't forget to preheat the oven or air fryer. Here I use an air-fryer. Add the dried grapes to the air-fryer basket or baking tray. Add coconut oil and sprinkle them with salt. Then, roast for about 10-15 minutes until tender and juicy.

Serving Way

Whoa, look at the results! I was really surprised with happiness when I took out the air-fryer basket from the air-fryer. The aroma of roasted grapes combined with coconut oil. Smells sooo good! I think I've found a new favorite scent after the smell of melted butter on bread dough.

For serving way, I use skewers to make it easier to enjoy. It feels fun to eat with children. :)

As soon as it entered my mouth, the grapes popped up and burst into a delicious combination of sour and sweet and savory flavors created from salt and coconut oil. On after taste, I felt a little warm. It's a strange sensation but I like it. :)

I think this is my newest favorite way to enjoy my sour grapes. This is very helpful for serving grapes when you have a lot of grapes in stock. You can also enjoy roasted grapes with toast for breakfast. So, what do you think about this variety of grape presentation? Do you want to try it?

I can feel you, the local grape is not as nice as the imported one, and maybe our climate is not as good for cultivating it. !LOLZ

for imported ones, I love green ones :) super sweet

I swapped our double bed for a trampoline without telling my wife.

Wow, this is really great, I love the coconut oil and salt, that combination of ingredients must really give it a unique flavor.

That was a great way to fix the sour taste of the grapes.
