Hello friends, how are you all? I hope you all are well and enjoying the weekend. I am also fine and enjoying the rain. Today, I am going to share a recipe for Shimla Mirch and Chane ki Sabzi, which tastes really delicious. You can make it for lunch or dinner. Please try it out and let me know how it turns out. So, let's get started.

Ingredients✅

  1. Shimla Mirch (Capsicum) - 2
  2. Pyaj (Onion) - 1
  3. Lahsun (Garlic) - 3-4 cloves
  4. Chola Chana (Chickpeas) - 1 bowl
  5. Tel (Oil)
  6. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  10. Soya Sauce - 1 teaspoon
  11. Vinegar - 1 teaspoon
  12. Corn flour - 5 teaspoons
  13. Green Chili - 4-5

Method✅

I am making this for 4 people, but you can adjust the quantities as per your requirement.

  1. First, soak the chickpeas for about 4 hours. Then, add salt and cook them in a pressure cooker for one whistle. Make sure they don't become too soft.

  1. #Cornflour Coating

Once the chickpeas are cooked, take them out in a bowl and coat them with cornflour. Let them sit for about 10 minutes while you prepare the other ingredients.

3.# Chopping
Cut the onion into large pieces. Similarly, cut the capsicum into large pieces. Peel and crush the garlic.

  1. Cooking

  2. Heat oil in a pan. Then, fry the coated chickpeas and set them aside.

  1. In the same oil, add cumin seeds and black pepper and let them sizzle.

  2. Add the chopped onions, capsicum, and green chilies and sauté for a few minutes.

  1. Add turmeric powder, chili powder, soya sauce, and vinegar and mix well.

  1. Add one cup of water and bring it to a boil.

  1. Add the fried chickpeas and cook for another 2 minutes.

delicious Shimla Mirch and Chane ki Sabzi is ready. You can serve it with roti or rice. Let me know how you like it. I hope you enjoy this recipe with paratha or roti.
