Birthday celebration is a form of remembrance. We have no record in the Bible whether the birthday of Jesus Christ was celebrated. But we have evidence that the first century christians celebrated the death of Jesus. The Jews remembered the death of a person rather than his birthday.
The death of a righteous person is more important to God than his birth. The way we die will be more important than our birthdays. When we die, we have finished our work on earth and it is the rewards of our works that will be waiting for us. It will be meaningless if a person has been celebrated on earth and when he dies he goes to hell. His birthday celebrations will mean nothing.
