Let us take a moment to thank God for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross, that sacrifice of love.
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 But made Himself of no reputation, and took the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men; 8 And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even death on a cross.
Philippians 2:5-8
We by nature easily forget the cost of things, the same thing happens with regard to sin and we remember that the word of God reminds us that it was because of us, because of our sin, that Christ died.
Our physical pain arrived, He was ridiculed, severely beaten and humiliated to the utmost. He became completely weak and was forced to carry the cross that would lead to his death on his shoulders and then was nailed to it directly to die.
So then Pilate took Jesus and scourged him. 2 The soldiers wove a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and put a purple robe on him; 3 and they said to him, "Hail, King of the Jews!" and they slapped him. 4 Then Pilate went out again and said to them, "Look, I am bringing him out to you, so that you may understand that I find no fault in him." 5 Then Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And Pilate said to them, "Behold, the man!" 6 When the chief priests and the officers saw him, they cried out, "Crucify him! Crucify him!" Pilate said to them, "Take him yourselves and crucify him, for I find no fault in him." 7 The Jews answered him, "We have a law, and according to our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God." 8 When Pilate heard this, he was even more afraid. 9 Then he entered the praetorium again and said to Jesus, "Where are you from?" But Jesus gave him no answer. 10 Then Pilate said to him, "Are you not speaking to me? Do you not know that I have authority to crucify you, and that I have authority to release you?" 11 Jesus answered, "You would have no authority over me unless it were given to you from above. Therefore he who handed me over to you has the greater sin."
John 19:1-11
Jesus Christ throughout his life here on earth, the Lord Jesus Christ did not commit sin, he lived with a human nature not like a human being, much less did he bear the weight of guilt. But on the cross he did suffer the full weight of the guilt of the sin of all humanity.
Jesus Christ was also abandoned by his own father, not only by some of his followers or the people who shouted for him to be killed, only some of his disciples, his mother and John were those who remained close to him during that suffering on the way to the cross, many were undoubtedly afraid of suffering like him.
25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing by, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold your son." 27 Then he said to the disciple, "Behold your mother." And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.
John 19:25-27
As we observe and understand this picture in which Jesus Christ suffered and died on the cross to redeem us, we understand even more the cost that this redemption had, let us take a moment to reflect and give thanks for this unconditional love for us.
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name;

Tomemos un momento para agradecer a Dios por el sacrificio de Jesucristo en la cruz, ese sacrificio de amor.
Haya, pues, en vosotros este sentir que hubo también en Cristo Jesús, 6 el cual, siendo en forma de Dios, no estimó el ser igual a Dios como cosa a que aferrarse, 7 sino que se despojó a sí mismo, tomando forma de siervo, hecho semejante a los hombres; 8 y estando en la condición de hombre, se humilló a sí mismo, haciéndose obediente hasta la muerte, y muerte de cruz.
Filipenses 2:5-8
Nosotros por naturaleza olvidamos fácilmente el costo que tienen las cosas, lo mismo sucede en cuanto al pecado y recordamos que la palabra de Dios nos recuerda que por nuestra causa, por nuestro pecado es porque murió Cristo.
Listo llegó nuestro dolor físico, fue ridiculizado, golpeado fuertemente y humillado hasta lo sumo. Llego a estar debilitado totalmente y se vio obligado a llevar la cruz que produciría su muerte sobre sus hombros y después fue clavado en ella directamente para morir.
Así que, entonces tomó Pilato a Jesús, y le azotó. 2 Y los soldados entretejieron una corona de espinas, y la pusieron sobre su cabeza, y le vistieron con un manto de púrpura; 3 y le decían: ¡Salve, Rey de los judíos! y le daban de bofetadas. 4 Entonces Pilato salió otra vez, y les dijo: Mirad, os lo traigo fuera, para que entendáis que ningún delito hallo en él. 5 Y salió Jesús, llevando la corona de espinas y el manto de púrpura. Y Pilato les dijo: ¡He aquí el hombre! 6 Cuando le vieron los principales sacerdotes y los alguaciles, dieron voces, diciendo: ¡Crucifícale! ¡Crucifícale! Pilato les dijo: Tomadle vosotros, y crucificadle; porque yo no hallo delito en él. 7 Los judíos le respondieron: Nosotros tenemos una ley, y según nuestra ley debe morir, porque se hizo a sí mismo Hijo de Dios. 8 Cuando Pilato oyó decir esto, tuvo más miedo. 9 Y entró otra vez en el pretorio, y dijo a Jesús: ¿De dónde eres tú? Mas Jesús no le dio respuesta. 10 Entonces le dijo Pilato: ¿A mí no me hablas? ¿No sabes que tengo autoridad para crucificarte, y que tengo autoridad para soltarte? 11 Respondió Jesús: Ninguna autoridad tendrías contra mí, si no te fuese dada de arriba; por tanto, el que a ti me ha entregado, mayor pecado tiene.
Juan 19:1-11
Jesucristo durante toda su vida aquí en la tierra el señor Jesucristo no cometió pecado, bien vivió con una naturaleza humana no como el ser humano mucho menos cargo tampoco con el peso de la culpa. Pero en la cruz si sufrió todo el peso de la culpa del pecado de toda la humanidad.
También Jesucristo fue abandonado por su propio padre no solamente por alguno de sus seguidores o el pueblo que gritaba que se lo mate, solamente algunos de sus discípulos, su madre y Juan fueron los que permanecieron cerca de él durante ese sufrimiento camino a la cruz, muchos sin duda tenían miedo de padecer como él.
25 Estaban junto a la cruz de Jesús su madre, y la hermana de su madre, María mujer de Cleofas, y María Magdalena. 26 Cuando vio Jesús a su madre, y al discípulo a quien él amaba, que estaba presente, dijo a su madre: Mujer, he ahí tu hijo. 27 Después dijo al discípulo: He ahí tu madre. Y desde aquella hora el discípulo la recibió en su casa.
Juan 19:25-27
Conforme vamos observando y entendiendo este cuadro en el Que Jesucristo sufrió y murió en la cruz para redimirnos, comprendemos aún mas el costo que tuvo esa redención, tomémonos un momento para reflexionar y agradecer por ese amor incondicional por nosotros.
Mas a todos los que le recibieron, a los que creen en su nombre, les dio potestad de ser hechos hijos de Dios;
