Being a Peacemaker according to the Bible (Part 1 of 4) | The Old Path – My Review

In today’s teaching, Bro. Eli exhorted us on the two things we can freely do now that we are on earth: good or evil. However, these two deeds will be judged at the end of time. Before then, we need to know that just as the computer is programmed by a programmer, our brain is similarly programmed by what we do often. The computer cannot input information on its own except a human does so, also our brain is wired by the information we input into it (either good or evil). According to Bro. Eli, there is a power that be, and there is a power that should not be which is the power of Satan. In Acts 17:31, we see that we cannot force everything to happen now -

Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. source

Since God raised Jesus from the dead, every man who is born on earth will face judgment through Jesus, Hebrews 9:27

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:source

No man or woman born on this earth will ever escape judgment (as seen in the scripture above). In John 5:28-29, Bro Eli highlighted that during the judgment day, there will be a resurrection of every person that died.

Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. source

Bro Eli added Revelation 20:11-12 which clearly explained his above statement, it says:

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. source

Before judgment day, our freedom remains. Freedom to choose either good or evil, blessing or curse - Deuteronomy 30:19

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: source

So, we have the power to do what is good or evil, and that is why we cannot eradicate evil until judgment. So, friends let's make the right choice today!

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. Galatians 5:13

It is a good lesson to learn from, thank you
