My lesson on "being a peacemaker according to the Bible | the old path"

Bro Eli's teaching about being a peacemaker was an admonition to all followers of Jesus Christ. It is God's intention that we should also live like Him on earth - "by being slow to anger." Most people (followers of Jesus Christ) tend to justify their actions to be a normal way of living. However, in today's teaching I learned that we should let the word of God be encoded in our person and it will eradicate all evil thoughts and actions.
The book of James affirmed this - James 1:21

KJV:Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

As a believer, we have the choice and power to lay all the filthiness aside. Once we have receive the word of God, it has the power to cleanse us from being hot tempered. To the fathers, the word of God instructed in Ephesians 6:4

KJV:And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

There are some fathers who are hot tempered because they have not let the word of God get into them; it is a choice to obey. It depends on us to deal with our kids with long suffering just as it says in 2 Peter 3:9

KJV:The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

God is long-suffering to us, He is slow to anger - Psalm 103:8

KJV:The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

Bro Eli asked "why not emulate this way of God?"

Remember, James also admonished us (disciples) to be like God - James 1:19

KJV:Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

If you keep speaking everytime, you have the tendency to sin. So let's be slow to speak as said in Proverbs 10:19

KJV:In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.
