My lesson on - Passing Faith on to my children
Based on this topic, Bro Eli shared the vital things that sustain one's faith, also highlighting ways faith can grow stronger and stronger to the extent of passing it to the next generation.
Beyond how the physicists imagine the world to be a physical entity only, Bro Eli made us understand that what makes a complete man is the body, spirit and soul - this is something physicists can not explain.
For the body (flesh), it is the spirit that gives it life, this was seen in James 2:26
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
As said above, it is the spirit that gives life, but this spirit is fortified by another Spirit known as the word of God. It is a statement declared by Jesus to the Jews in John 6:63
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Coming back to our topic, what makes our stronger is the word of God, and it is our obligation to learn this Word consistently alongside the commandments so that we pass it to our family and children.
The word of God which is a spirit is what sustains our Faith and we grow by hearing this word day after day. If we don't hear the word of God, our faith grows cold. This was seen in Romans 10:17
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
As the word of God becomes life to us, we indoctrinate it and pass it to our family to follow it too. By that, we are raising good seeds.
