The world which we are living in is full of several offenses. Everyday, we are faced with situations that cause us offenses. We get offended by our brothers and sisters. Our very blood relatives make us angry on a daily basis. We get offended by those we are working with in the office. We get offenses even from fellow brethren in the church. There are many things that give us offenses.
The Bible teaches us to forgive. Forgiveness is one of the attributes of the true believers in Jesus Christ. We are to forgive those who offend us. We should not hold back any offense against anybody. Forgiveness is a requirement from God.
The Lord Jesus Christ taught us that it is the way we forgive those who offend us that will make God forgive us. He said if we forgive others, our heavenly Father will also forgive us. But if we don't forgive others, our heavenly Father will not forgive us. Let us always forgive those who offend us.
When we forgive others, we should not recall to remembrance whatever offense they caused us. We should endeavor to forget about the wrong things which people do to us. Bro Eli Soriano made us understand that God who has a better memory than us can forget about our sins, how then can we not forget the wrong that people do unto us.
