The gospel of Jesus Christ is to be preached freely. There is no payment whatsoever to be made. Salvation came to us freely. We are not obligated to pay anything for the preaching of the gospel. As we have received it freely, we are to preach it freely. We should not think in anywhere that we are making any form of payment for the gospel. How can we possibly pay for our salvation? It cost the life of God’s only begotten Son to save our souls. We cannot pay for that. So, the gospel of Jesus Christ is not preached through the payment of money.
The giving of contributions is approved in the church. The early church practiced it. They make their contributions willingly. Giving of resources and money was done in the early church. In the ministry of Jesus Christ, money was involved. That was why Judas was the treasurer. So, it is not out of place to give money in the church. We should give out of our resources to support the preaching of the gospel.
The giving of money in the church should not be under compulsion. We should not be forced to pay money. We should give to support the preaching of the gospel out of our free will.
