A disciple is someone who follows a teaching. He is someone who has a master. A master is a person who teaches and leads another. Jesus Christ is our Master. We are his disciples. When we follow his teachings, we will be His true disciples.
John 15:14 (KJV) Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
A disciple must follow the teachings of his master completely. We are not just Jesus Christ disciples because we say. We must follow His teachings. We must obey His commandments. We must accept to receive and follow His doctrines.
Following the commandments of God is what will prove us to be the disciples of God. A true disciple will obey His master completely. The commandments of God are there for us to follow. We must obey God. We are not going to be accepted by God as His disciples if we obey not His commandments.
Many people call themselves christians but they are not willing to obey God's commandments. Those are false disciples. False disciples will not make it to heaven. Anyone who wants to be the disciple of Jesus must obey God completely. If we want to do the will of God, we must do it to the fullest. When we obey all the commandments of Jesus Christ, we will become is true disciples.
