Yesterday when we got to the hotel it was dark so we couldn’t really see the beach and natural surroundings properly. Today when we woke up the view was stunning, worth the long journey.
We were enjoying the beach and the hotel until it suddenly started pouring. (After today I learned that the weather here is kind of bipolar)
So of course we had to quickly return to our room so we didn’t get wet.
When the weather was better we decided to take a walk around playa del Carmen
There we found a lot of shops that sold traditional Mexican products. I love looking around stores whenever I visit a new country, so today I really had a fun time since there were practically only stores around the city center.
I really liked that the streets felt like they were in the jungle, something I’d never seen anywhere else.
We also stumbled upon some Mayan ruins which was quite exciting. We hope to see more ruins during the next days.
The food we had today was also amazing, but hopefully I can dedicate a whole post about the food.
That’s it for today, tomorrow we’re probably visiting a cenote.
