Hello friends of #BEER, this is my entry for the #BeerSaturday contest created by @detlev. I invite my friends @daniverdecia and @claudiocruz to participate.
Last Saturday was a memorable day, marked by music and camaraderie. The Vox Lucis choir, of which I am a member, offered a concert as part of an activity organized by the Hermanos Saiz Association. This organization plays a fundamental role in promoting culture among young Cubans, seeking to keep the artistic tradition alive and foster emerging talent.
The event took place in a welcoming cultural space that was quickly filled with friends, family, and music lovers. From the first chord, the atmosphere transformed into a celebration of life and art. The choir's voices resonated with strength and emotion, performing a variety of pieces ranging from classical music to contemporary arrangements. Each song was a reflection of the effort and dedication we had all put into the previous rehearsals. Seeing the smiles on the faces of the audience and hearing their sincere applause was the best recognition of our work.
Once the concert was over, the festive atmosphere continued. My choir friends and I decided to celebrate our success with a good beer. The choice was Cristal, one of the most popular beers in Cuba, known for its freshness and light taste. Enjoying a cold Cristal after such an intense performance was the perfect ending to the night; each sip was a delight that refreshed not only our palates, but also our souls, as we shared laughter and anecdotes. Beer became the symbol of our celebration, uniting our toasts with the promise to continue creating together.
The night progressed and, between animated conversations and background music, an atmosphere of complicity and joy was created. We remembered the intense rehearsals, the difficulties overcome and the moments of doubt we had faced, but we also celebrated our achievements and the satisfaction of having shared our music with the world. As the beer ran out, we promised to continue working together, not just for ourselves, but also for those young people who seek inspiration in culture and art.
It was certainly a Saturday to remember: a day where music, friendship and good beer came together to create lasting memories.

El pasado sábado fue una jornada memorable, marcada por la música y la camaradería. El coro Vox Lucis, del cual formo parte, ofreció un concierto en el marco de una actividad organizada por la Asociación Hermanos Saiz. Esta organización tiene un papel fundamental en la promoción de la cultura entre los jóvenes cubanos, buscando mantener viva la tradición artística y fomentar el talento emergente.
El evento tuvo lugar en un acogedor espacio cultural que se llenó rápidamente de amigos, familiares y amantes de la música. Desde el primer acorde, el ambiente se transformó en una celebración de la vida y el arte. Las voces del coro resonaban con fuerza y emoción, interpretando una variedad de piezas que iban desde la música clásica hasta arreglos contemporáneos. Cada canción era un reflejo del esfuerzo y la dedicación que todos habíamos puesto en los ensayos previos. Ver las sonrisas en el público y escuchar sus aplausos sinceros era el mejor reconocimiento a nuestro trabajo.
Una vez concluido el concierto, la atmósfera festiva continuó. Mis amigos del coro y yo decidimos celebrar nuestro éxito con una buena cerveza. La elección fue Cristal, una de las cervezas más populares en Cuba, conocida por su frescura y sabor ligero. Disfrutar de una Cristal bien fría después de una actuación tan intensa fue el cierre perfecto para la noche; cada sorbo era un deleite que refrescaba no solo nuestro paladar, sino también nuestras almas, mientras compartíamos risas y anécdotas. La cerveza se convirtió en el símbolo de nuestra celebración, uniendo nuestros brindis con la promesa de seguir creando juntos.
La noche avanzaba y, entre charlas animadas y música de fondo, se creó un ambiente de complicidad y alegría. Recordamos los ensayos intensos, las dificultades superadas y los momentos de duda que habíamos enfrentado, pero también celebramos nuestros logros y la satisfacción de haber compartido nuestra música con el mundo. A medida que la cerveza se iba acabando, nos prometimos seguir trabajando juntos, no solo por nosotros mismos, sino también por aquellos jóvenes que buscan inspiración en la cultura y el arte.
Sin duda, fue un sábado para recordar: un día en el que la música, la amistad y la buena cerveza se unieron para crear recuerdos imborrables.
