Namaste!

This amazing plant is also one of the things that the rain has brought. In some places, there is greenery everywhere on the land and in other places, people are troubled due to excessive rainfall.

Well, we have also played with nature a lot, so today it doesn't suit us to expect balance from nature. So all we can do now is hope that there is happiness everywhere and everyone stays safe.💚🙏

These pictures are from a few days ago when one evening after continuous rain for a few days, I saw this plant in the park. At a glance, it may seem like a common wild plant but it is not so, because last season I had seen this plant in its mature state, so I know that very little and beautiful flowers bloom on it.

The size of the flowers blooming on it is equal to that of common studs and they also have a mild fragrance and look very lovely. The leaves of this plant are slightly thicker but softer than the leaves of most plants.

I don't know why it is known as a frogplant, it is the favorite food of frogs maybe? but I have no confirmed information about it. By the way, in some places, it is also called Capeweed and in Sanskrit, it is known as Vasir and Vasuka.

Also, let me tell you that in some villages, the leaves of this plant are eaten as vegetables to fight pain and swelling. It is also used as an insect killer and in a few places its leaves are also consumed as an alternative to tea.

And you know one amazing thing is that every plant, tree, flower, leaf and we ourselves also have many qualities. All that matters is whether we know it. 😊

That's all for today's blog.

I hope you liked my Phone Photography! ;)

Good morning dear friend @untilwelearn
What a beautiful plant, this is the first time I read about the frog plant.
I really appreciate you letting us know about the existence of this plant
Have a great day

Thank you for appreciating it, friend. A great day to you too! :)

Really amazing. So many strange plants and flowers you have near your place, truly amazing.

Nature to hum sabke pass hai, bas hum sab nature ke pass nahi hain! :)
Thank you!

This is the first time I read about this plant the name is a bit strange, I thought the leaves or flowers were frog shaped and that's where the name came from.

Greetings!

I also found this quite strange but through Google Lens, I got information about it from not one but some 2-3 different sites. I think you are right, I did not even pay attention to this. Its leaf is like the footprint of a frog. Maybe that is why it has this name. but still, why would it be called frog food idk. but it is edible for humans this is true I have seen people making curries of its leaves. :) Thank you!

That is an interesting name for the plant.
maybe the frog used to blend into the plant so that they can avoid the predator. ; )

Maybe you're right but then why would it be called frog food? Food denotes something you eat. Its strange haha! Well, thanks for your support friend! :)

Wow, two badges in a row, that's awesome @untilwelearn! 🎉

Very interesting! Looking at the photos the leaves look tough and crisp but you said they're soft and I wish to see and smell the flowers. Beautiful photos! 👍😊

It could be the magic of my photography that the soft leaf looks tough. hahaha! #JustJoking!
Maybe the photos came out a little too sharp that is why these leaves look tough but they are actually soft. When the flowers bloom on it, I will try to make a blog about them too. :) Thank you!

Most probably, haha 😄
Yeah, I was to ask the color of its flowers...anyway, I'll wait.
