Welcome to the next in an ongoing series of writing prompts in the Worldbuilding community !
I'm aiming to post one of these each Sunday. They aren't a replacement for the excellent daily prompts from @worldbuilding they're just an extra opportunity if you have a writing itch you want to scratch. 😀

The prompt this week is - Monsters ! Monsters !
The inspiration for this prompt is a bit different to the normal ones. I was reminded the other day about a RPG from the late 1970's. It was a supplement to Tunnels and Trolls (a D&D-like RPG for those of us who couldn't afford to blow a quarter of a week's salary on the white box set original D&D). T&T was far less serious and more tongue-in-cheek than it's expensive competitor, as demonstrated by wonderful spell names like "Take That You Fiend" and "Zappathingum".
Most of the supplements for Tunnels and Trolls were solo adventures, but they also made Monsters! Monsters! where the players took on the role of randomly generated monsters launching retaliatory raids on the villages and strongholds of the pesky adventurers who had been raiding and looting their lairs.
I've always liked the idea that so-called "monsters" in RPG's have lives, ambitions and problems of their own outside of the times when they interact (usually fatally) with adventurers. I'd love to hear a story from your setting told from the perspective of a "monster". Are they actually that bad ? What are their thought processes ? How do they live, and what are their goals in life ?
Just to add a bit of spice to things, the two entries I most like (and are linked in comments to this post, so I can find them !) that are posted by midnight (GMT) next Saturday will each get a prize of one Hive SBI.
This link will take you to the FAQ where you can read more about Hive SBI - it's a project I thoroughly support because it gives both the donor and winner a steady trickle of passive income paid out in the form of upvotes on posts.
