Fleeting Nature In Time
It's not morbid to consciously taking stock of the here and now, priorities, how to prepare for the years ahead, much has changed. Planning a course looking at not only finances, the emotional, psychological often more spiritual than religious in my case.
Conscious aging, not something I thought before bouncing off the wall realizing shit happens, are you ever prepared for what comes down the tracks at you?
At seven we tend to let go and enjoy whatever comes our way, good or bad, hiding or praise, little really mattered back then.
Age seventeen starting to find the world exciting, even though you see right from wrong you know to keep morals in tact, finding that not all is what it appears, yet with eyes wide open my whole being screams to be back at age seventeen, Oh what a lovely number!
Strawbs - Lay down 1973 Lyrics by D. Cousins - Spiritual but not religious....
All that big talk we dodged the bullet, talked the big talk, ran around like there was no tomorrow, let's place ourselves where people were crying "Lay Down." Many never had a good time, we lost friends, perhaps first fear being faced. Words had deeper meaning listening to them this time.
Now almost adding another zero behind the number, you look back over time through music, lyrics something all should read, Next up, what I have been listening to....
Jim Croce - Time In A Bottle - Imagine we could save time in a bottle, I'd save each precious moment, we never have enough time.
Words and song by a brilliant man who possibly foresaw an untimely early end, how well expressed in this song about memories captured you never let go of.
While thinking back as to how quickly all those memories my husband had, have been swiftly stolen by Alzheimer's and Dementia, accelerated by the Green Mamba Snake bite, he survived but did he?
King Crimson - Epitaph (1969) Lyrics Video - Confusion will be my Epitaph
Standing in frame 2025 still linger on prophetic words within, "The fate of all mankind I fear. Is in the hands of fools!"
Singing of Greg Lake emotional stirring up a vivid image of what we live through.
Written by Robert Fripp, Ian McDonald, Greg Lake, and Michael Giles with lyrics written by Peter Sinfield. "Epitaph". Song by King Crimson a must for one quiet afternoon to ponder the words and true meaning of this masterpiece.
Simpy because I can, this is how I feel about the last quarter, sometimes much confusion drives us to fear, stand up or be counted a lucky man to have lived to see so much!
Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Lucky Man
All are lucky who lived through our era, it's a general feeling I have had, life was not complicated, free to enjoy much more than I see around me today....
Spiritual, emotional baggage carried by each, reaching third quarter of life (if you go by todays number), sit back and enjoy how much we have seen, done, lived always with poets and musicians, lyrics carry us along like a river winding down to the sea.
