Isn't it great when a developer comes up with something useful for you, at just the right time?
@sn0n's 'Downloader Tool' gets all your past HIVE (and STEEM) posts fast, and from day one in a rudimentary .md format. This is perfect for me and my shit memory, as I can't remember what songs I posted 6 years ago.
In the past, I have reposted material, albeit by mistake and written differently than the previous version, but no more. I suggest bookmarking this link for your own use.
Download all the files, and if you are on Windows, get yourself a copy of 'Effective File Search' then easily sift through the .md files with a custom search.
Having recently run dry of autobiographies to listen to in the car, it was back to music again and mostly bands I am accustomed to.
It is good to listen to an album you haven't visited for years and it brings memories back, to what you were doing when you first discovered the songs.
Biffy Clyro – Strung to your Ribcage (Infinity Land – 2004)

I have mentioned before about seeing this Scottish band live in 2012 and that I was somewhat disappointed. They played all their new material and that is not what I came to hear.
@bingbabe and I quickly exited the Manchester Arena knowing, 'Mountains' was going to be the final song of the encore. Rather than get crushed by the stampede I would prefer to miss this boring, mundane, pile of shit song and get out fast.
This incidentally is the same arena that would host a terrorist bombing in 2017 resulting in many lost lives. It's large and not at all intimate inside. Arianna Grande was performing that evening and it was full of teeny-boppers.
Biffy Clyro sold out, and I don't blame them, they want fame and money. Anything after 'Infinity Land' sucks arse and I can only thank them for making some decent music before the money train got their attention.
'Strung to your Ribcage' is one of those Simon Neal screamers that totally changes after about thirty seconds, contains lots of bad language, evolves, and has a great sing-a-long ending.
Siouxsie & The Banshees – Fireworks (Single – 1982)

I have posted 'Siouxsie & The Banshees' material before; in fact, I remember my first 'mini' @curie (before I was part of the team) came from a music post about the band. It was exciting then to be recognized, as they were very choosy about who got their vote.
The post netted me just over $5, but it got their attention, and from there, things just got better. When I was younger, and not into all this 'weird shit' you read about from me now, I was still a fan of this band.
I suppose it did me well when I decided to jettison all my 7' 45 singles in 2005 on eBay. The buyer saw all the pictures and gateway covers from this band and that made the purchase so much more appealing.
Then, punk (it's not punk) vinyl was in demand and sold at a premium if you can call it that. Now it's probably magnified, someone tell me otherwise?
'Fireworks' was one of those fancy gateway covers, only available for a limited time. After that, you had to make do with a shit cover, and I grabbed the special one first.
Like most of the band's singles, it did not fare well in the UK charts, hitting #22 in 1982. It was gothic, dark and broody and this was before 'Goth' became a thing in the mid '80s.
The Stranglers – Ugly (Rattus Norvegicus – 1977)

While we are on the subject of 'Punk', or that so-called genre depending on opinion, I was a fan of 'The Stranglers' when young, that is before 'Golden Brown' turned up and they went all mellow.
'Rattus Norvegicus' was a loud, angry debut album full with subjects such as sewers rats and ugly people.
'Ugly' was a track I remember well due to the explicit and downright ridiculous lyrics, though @bingbabe would probably agree with Hugh Cornwell and the lads.
She seems to think that the rich people of The Philippines are better looking. What a load of crap I tell her!
…'It's only the children of the fucking wealthy who turn out to be good-looking'… - Jean-Jacques Burnel
I am not having any of that, my wife was not wealthy and is wonderful looking. I can't say otherwise, can I?
But getting back to the song, I can't help liking something as audacious as this.
…' And if you've got acne, well, I apologise for disliking you intensely'.. - Jean-Jacques Burnel
They don't make shit like this anymore, and if someone did, it would be banned.
