Three Tune Tuesday/Wednesday (Yeah I'm A Day Late, But Better Late Than Never)- Esmerine

in #hive-1938163 years ago

I have been enjoying @ablaze's Three Tune Tuesday post, for quite a while now. Each week has been like a trip down memory lane for me as he shared music that he has enjoyed down through the years, which also happened to be music that I enjoyed. That's the magic of music really, how it has the ability to transport you to another place and time and fill you with emotions.

I had been meaning to get involved, in Three Tune Tuesday, for ages as well, but I only ever remembered, after I had posted for the day. But this time, I decided to just do it anyway and make my own Three Tune Wednesday, who wants rules anyway?

So today, I want to share a wonderful Canadian band with you all called Esmerine. I love experimental music and anything with strings, as I feel it adds so much more depth. When I listen to music, I want to inspired and this group have inspired some of the poetry that i have shared on here. I just have to listen to their music and the words literally flow out from me.

It is hard to describe what genre of music that they play, to me they have their own genre, a mix of classical, post rock, experimental folk, punk and Turkish. I close my eyes and they take me on a journey into the deepest parts of myself and of the universe. The sounds they create, stir up so much emotion in me.

There are five members in the band, two if which founded it and were from two other bands that I also love. Silver Mount Zion and God Speed You Black Emperor. I will share some of their music another time.

This first track, that I am sharing with you, "Quelques mots pleins d'ombreis"ir from the Album Aurora and wow that cello, the depth of it's sound. (listen to it with headphones) It stirs in me, such a sea of emotions. I feel like I am on a boat, rocking to the sound of the strings, as it transports me to this world of such sweet surrender. The beauty of this track has brought tears to my eyes, allowing me to feel, when I have felt numb. This is the power of music and a perfect example of how it heals us. To me this is a masterpiece. Some might think it sounds heavy and sad, but to me it is raw and liberating. This track has helped me through my grief. It swept me up with it and opened me up, to the pain within, so that I could finally release it and be reborn! So beautifully powerful.

This second one is called "Sprouts", from the album La Lechuza . This track is another masterpiece in my eyes, there is quiet a lot going on in this track, which makes sprouts the perfect name for it in my eyes and ears lol. There is such a gentle start to this one, with such delicate sounds woven in together, creating this wonderful sound, which to me represents the wonder and magic of life taking form and with the cello, bringing it's deep earthy tone, tying it together so beautifully. Again this song, sweeps me away, on a magical journey that is every changing, with so many different layers. Be prepared to be swept away on an epic journey with this one!

The last track that I wish to share from the wonderful Esmerine, is from their album Dalmak. The group spend some time in Turkey and this Album has a huge Turkish flavour to it. It's hard to just pick one from this album. Yesterday I shared a poem, that I wrote whilst listening to the second track off of it. Today it is all about "Translator’s Clos I". I love the build up to this track, the beautiful cello once again, inviting you, as the other instruments join in, building up onto such a joyous sound that always has me dancing. The Turkish influence is so prominent in this track and also the second part of it. I am amazed by how talented each musician is and the way in which they fuse their sound with Turkish music, so beautifully and effortlessly it seems.

Every time I listen to this band, I am transported. Their music uplifts me and yet it also grounds me, it opens up my heart to the magic and power of expression. Their music continues to heal me. I hope that you enjoyed listening to them, let me know what you think in the comments below.

Thanks for sharing your music, @trucklife-family!
Nothing like getting to know you better!

Ah thank you @silversaver888 xxxxx

I see where the inspiration comes from.
This is beautifully written.

Thanks so much @ijohnsen xxxxx

I LOVE being introduced to new music and new authors - it's SUCH a drawback of living under a herbal rock in Asia. LOL. Since Covid the inflow of cool tourists has all but stopped and I'm challenged to look elsewhere...

Looking forward to a great listen later!!

Hope all is well with you! 😊

I hope that you enjoyed them @artemislives, they are one of my favourite bands. I hope you are keeping well xxxx

Hello @artemislives 😊 if you like being introduced to new music and artist I would suggest you to check #ttt or #threetunetuesday posts as by now we have at least 5 people posting 3 new songs every tuesday ^^

You can check the contest, created by @ablaze, here and maybe share your 3 song recommendation for this week!

Very cool indeed, thanks Ed xxxx

I love to hear new music, thanks for sharing. There are so many people out there doing so many great things, I sometimes forget to explore more.

I love it as well, I'm always excited to hear new music. xxx

Hello @trucklife-family 😊 I hope I find you well ^^ I just listend to the songs you shared and what a rush! I feel we have very similar tastes and this instrumental music is one of my favorite genres! Such a powerful rush of emotions...

My favorite one was the first one Quelques mots pleins d'ombreis! I had chills all over my spine through the back of my legs 😱 it has been a while since I felt this when listening to instrumental music. Thank you for that! 🙏

I also see you're a Doula! I'm so glad I found someone in a similar area as me! I'm a physiotherapist and I work mainly with Women's and Pelvic Health care ^^ I've been thinking of becoming a Doula as well but I think I still need a bit more time and experience before diving in 😊 I really hope this is the start of more interaction in the near future!

Oh, so beautiful! Reading and listening to this post right after reading and listening to your previous one and all made sense. You have let us dance into your world in the most amazing way!

Love that, how I have let you dance into my world. Such a wonderful way to put it, I love giving little glimpses. Big hug to you xxxx

I decided to just do it anyway and make my own Three Tune Wednesday, who wants rules anyway?

Boom 💥 Rules shmules....

Delighted to have you on board and delighted that it's a band thatnI have never heard of before. These tend to be my favorite as I'm getting introduced to something shiny and new. Esmerine are very thought provoking and would be great songs to listen to with @blackdaisyft breathing exercises and see where they carry you. For me they transport me back to visions of the world from centuries ago, I get a distinct Game of Thrones-esque vibe from them on first listen. I will listen again at some stage and check out more of their stuff. I can see how their instrumental musings would be good for your creativity and flow for your poems.

Thanks a million for the tunes and the shout out, really appreciate it and great having you take part this week.

Peace out.

Edit - I have just listened to these again and they are real growers, especially sprout which I have now listened to around 4 times.... Check this composition out by @ mipiano - it will be right up your street I reckon...

Thank you for tagging me! I missed this one from last week, I'll keep in mind to check multiple times as this week goes by ^^

So glad to have you on board @trucklife-family 😊 Welcome to the Three Tune Tuesday family, I hope to see you again this week 😉! I will now properly listen to the tunes you shared in this post 😇
