Battered by Storm Éowyn in Galway Ireland

I'll try to upload this post with a couple of photos via 4G if I can.

No Power here now for the last 2 and half days.

We were absolutely battered by Storm Éowyn, the worst storm in Ireland since 1961.

I'll try to bring ye a photo or two of the storm damage whenever I get decent 4G coverage.

Thank God for being able to charge my phone in my car and with Battery banks I have 🙏

Yeah, I have been thinking about getting a generator and solar packs. Never saw myself as a prepper, really 🤔 Hope you get power back soon.

Where abouts are you based @shanibeer?

A generator would be the job right about now, day 3 powerless and getting tougher!

Leicester in the English east midlands. So pleased I live on a hill and, so far, we have avoided the worst of all the storms this year. I feel for people who have lost power for days at a time, it must be miserable.

Sounds like a lovely spot, wasn't sure if you might be Irish.

How was the storm over there? Did anywhere get it bad?

Shoot! Two and a half days without power , what about heating? Do you have anything to keep you warm? Take care and have they connect you back very soon

Hey, we're lucky enough that we have a solid fuel burning range and a shed that's still half full of Conamara's finest turf, so that kept us going and dropped a few bags around to some elderly neighbours and a pregnant couple of women too who were very appreciative. We've a great community of neighbours here thank God ❤️
