Today I wanted to celebrate a little bit at the Rant community here showing up in web searches without having to go nuts!

I know this isn't likely to be something to write in the newspapers or anything, but I'm pretty proud of the amount of people, comments, interactions and posts that go into the Rant community here! I'm not usually one to start a semi-successful project like this lol so this is cool, and new.

I didn't really think about this visibility stuff for this community in particular until I read this new users post just the other day. Now I don't know if this dude is pulling a fast one on me and us, and is already familiar with Hive on an alternate account and just created a new one and a new story, but hopefully not!

I figured it would be more of the Leo people or others but.. It turns out that the Rant Community here does well enough in terms of traffic that you can get it on a web search result! Granted, you have to be a little more specific to get the right result.. but it's a start! I gave it a try on two of my favorite search platforms.. check it out.

On Brave it's result number 4! It's also included front and center in the AI result, pretty cool!

I won't toot my own horn here because the only reason it gets the amount of posts and interactions it does is because of the people that decide it's a good place to drop a post. Any post, if it doesn't fit anywhere else or if you just would rather drop it here, or fly off the handle and scream about something. We all have those days where we want to do that, and need a place to put something random! Rant community it is :D

I know that I try to spend time every other day to get to the comments for all the posts in it, so that I can get to them all before they hit payout but lately I've been slacking, so I apologize! I guess I need to step up my game now that it's searchable on the web :D. I think this is really cool, and a great thing for Hive though. If we can get other places and communities to be searchable on the web like that we can definitely attract people who want to participate. It happened to be that this new user was looking for somewhere to let loose, but was sick of the bullshit that likely happens in places like Reddit where they ban the fuck out of you. I ain't about that, and hopefully we can get more people to realize this type of thing!

In the meantime, we keep our eye on the ball and keep building in these downturned markets! These are the best times for sure!
