They say that a picture ( sometimes ) says more than a thousand words. Although I am usually more of the 1000 words type and I used to study film, I won't disagree with this statement.
So, today, instead of penning down 2 pages of words, I will share a bunch of photographs, with as few words as possible explaining them.
Me, puzzled, after having discovered a freckle on the bridge of my nose, inbetween my eyes.
My youngest sister later told me that I should drink more Coca Cola ( after my remark that I'm getting 'rusty' ).
I once heard somewhere that freckles are rusty tips of our ( steel ) nerves.
P.S. This is just my selfie face. I discovered that freckle when I checked my picture.
I baked this (im)perfect pancake, this morning. I enjoyed not filling the entire pan, and baking pc's that weren't round. This little one tasted perfect.
I deviated from the recipe of Hypersensitivosaurus, in my stories: today's pancakes didn't include oatmeal and they did include ( fresh ) eggs from the friends that I spent New Year's (eve ) at.
That is, 'their chickens'. My friends don't lay edible eggs. Earlier Hypersensitivosaurus oatmeal pancake stories, from most recent to oldest ( make sure to feed yourself before reading ): Wolf Whistle - A Fresh Hypersensitivosaurus story A chess game, a wolf, a raptor and oatmeal pancakes And the very first couple of chess / raptor / wolf and oatmeal pancake stories: https://peakd.com/chess/@vincentnijman/the-wolf-and-the-dino-hunting-for-prey I discovered a new path, today, while on a walk. It was kind of a climb but my legs are made for walking and - in the end - it was exactly what I needed to compensate for spending way too much time indoor, sitting down. I also picked up some trash, and even found an empty trash bag to store it in, which made me feel even better about my walk. I plan to go back there, to pick up more, soonish. The hill underneath my ( rental ) house, with a cork oak in the middle of the frame and some small mountains / high hills in the distance. This picture was taken yesterday afternoon, before the rain clouds and change in weather arrived. Trees with a view. Fun Fact: 'Trees' is a Dutch name, very old fashioned. It makes me think of an old woman that pinches your checks. Let's call her 'Auntie Trees' ( pronounced as 'Trace' ). That white thing with the triangular top is my house. This photo was taken, this afternoon, when I returned from my walk. The clouds are approaching rain. It looked more threatening, darker, in real life. And then I found this close up, that is more focused on the rain clouds and less on my house. After returning home, I put all of my indoor plants on my terrace and doorstep, so they could soak up some natural water. I just remember that I should probably take them in, again, before darkness sets in and wind and more rain might make life difficult for them. Let me end things here, with a picture of my terrace/ patio, taken just now. The art on the wall has been made by the owner of the house, who is a painter. He's happy to know that his house is rented by a fellow creative. I see I ended up with a little over 500 words. Not too bad, especially as it includes a number of jokes.
