The Invitational is our bi-weekly, super-duper, writing contest. It is where we match quills and draw blood all for the sake of the craft. We all know a 'friendly' competition never hurts anyone, much, especially when it can be used as a platform to improve your writing. 🙌
🧹 HOUSEKEEPING 🧹
- Apologies for the lack of activity of late. Had some real-life issues to take care of and couldn't really commit to Hive much. But I'm back and have big plans. Both for this contest and for this amazing community.
- We are changing the format slightly. From this edition on we will no longer require a mix of genre/theme. For now, we will only stick with a prompt genre and see how we evolve from there.

We're starting things off simple with this one. The action genre is a staple of fiction and it comes in many shapes and sizes. How you choose to present your action story is up to you. Whether you decide to throw in some romance or make it more like a body-cop type of story, does not really matter for the prompt. What's important is that you make the best action story you can!
