New Year, new goals!
Going into 2025 I'm realizing that my activity on Hive is changing along with my lifestyle which is only natural. I'm embracing it. Outside of the goals I'm sharing in this post, I have other personal goals that I'm aiming to meet related to developing a positive social circle around myself and maintaining better habits I created during the latter part of 2024.
But when it comes to Hive, I want to keep things simple and work on things that I can manage with my current work schedule. Since I'm working so much, I Have limited time to give to the platform. But I still have a desire to make time for this.
To succeed here, I'll have to keep things basic, simplify my content, and do what I can.
K.I.S.S. - Keep It Stupid Simple
My Creative Goals for 2025!
1) Get Into Picture Blogging
This is a blogging platform, so why not use it as such? I have an amazing picture blogging app on my phone in @liketu that I almost never use to post to. I was just talking to a friend about me needing to take more pictures just to keep up with being a normal person in 2025 and I feel like Liketu could be the perfect opportunity to keep me inspired in that goal.
2) Get My First 100 HBD in Savings
This is low-hanging fruit being that I'm halfway there with $50 HBD currently in savings but it's something that I've wanted to do for a while now. 100 HBD isn't a lot of money but I feel like it's a good stepping stone to get my savings journey started on Hive.
3) Onboard 5 People to Hive
In all of my time on the platform, I think I've onboarded 5 people to the platform here on Hive. None of them are active today. but just being able to say I got 5 accounts set up is pretty cool. With developers making it easier to get people here, Hive's price going up, and Hiv getting more swag in 2025, it would be cool if I could get 5 more here this year somehow.
4) Collaborate with other Content Creators
Along with bringing people here, I'd love to get with other people on Hive to create collaborative content. Hive is set up in such a way that we can do splits which is amazing but I don't see the feature used too much. I also think that it would humanize my content a lot more as well. If done right, working with others could bring a lot of fun and excitement into my creative process that I hadn't experienced too much of yet.
5) Podcasting
Along with simplifying my blogging content, I was recently inspired by someone I onboarded to podcasting 2.0 to revive my abandoned podcast. Over the past couple of years, I've had all the best intentions in the world for my podcast, but I've been overthinking it. A podcast doesn't have to be overwhelming, especially if it's a solo pod. instead of a set niche, be on the lookout for me sharing my opinions on random topics on the podcast in a way that I don't get to share here.
