The News
As we end the week the $HIVE price has improved a little thanks for some market confidence as $BTC rises again. Be sure to vote up your favourite coins on @coingecko. You can vote others down if you want.
I saw a few Hive projects making some changes this week.
@curangel say they will be downvoting less from now on. I think downvotes have a place to deal with those who abuse the system and will not change their ways. They can also be used to bully people and this does happen. If we want Hive to succeed then we need to make it a welcoming place for all who add value.
@leofinance (aka InLeo) have new delegation tiers that pay different rates according to whether you take staked $LEO and if you are a premium member. The top APR is 22%.
Meanwhile @ecency are removing their boosting of posts. You could 'buy' a boost with the points you get for being active, but the Hive community is not so keen on paying for votes. You will still be able to earn points, but there will be new uses for them that have yet to be announced. I am sure some will be disappointed by this, especially if they were boosting their own posts. In my opinion rewards should come from community support as that encourages post quality.
Friday Follows
- @arcadecolony have a new game called Moon Karts, It looks like it may have similarities to some other 'kart' games, but it could have some crypto elements.
- @soundlegion has a new song out. She has been putting her music out on this blockchain for years.
- My friend @anna-newkey reached dolphin after two years on Hive. Persistence pays off.
- @benwesterham is a UK writer who joined up late last year.
The End
I will skip the Dog House this week, but I keep an eye out for candidates. If you are acting against the interests of this blockchain then it could be you.
