The News

The crypto slump continues with $HIVE suffering along with the rest. $BTC volume is way up as the big players shift it around. I bought more $HIVE for HPUD and may get more whilst it is cheap. I am earning it every day anyway and so can you if you stay active. It is in our power to promote this platform and build communities that can make it a good place to be regardless of the price. As well as rewards we have a platform that is independent of big corporations that just want to exploit our data.

Some politicians are getting attention for saying they support cryptocurrency. I really doubt that someone like Trump cares about it as he will say anything for attention and lies constantly. The number of actual cryptocurrency users may not be that huge anyway. We do at least need ways to move funds in and out easily.

@hivefest is fast approaching. I will buy my ticket soon and need to sort out somewhere to stay. I will be travelling alone, so if someone is looking to share then let me know.

Friday Follows

• @ugochill has a new song out that features fellow Hivers @juxtamusic, @theturtleproject and @nupulse. They are part of the community that has grown around @risingstargame.
• Top Italian drummer @giampaolo19 continues to share his funky beats with us. Perhaps he will collaborate with some Hive musicians some time.
• I was flattered by @collinz saying I had been an influence on him. I am just a user of Hive, but I try to make it a better place for others.

These people get a share of the post rewards. You can set beneficiaries to spread the joy.

The Dog House

There are some accounts that do a lot of downvoting, but cannot actually do much damage as they lack HP and if their reputation is lower than yours then they cannot affect that either. They are disgruntled over being caught abusing the system and feel the need to be annoying. You can mute or block them to reduce the notifications, then just ignore them as they are desperate for attention. I am on their 'hit list', so you may get their attention for replying to me. I hope that does not deter you. Hive is about freedom and that means people can spam it as we do not want central control. We have to find other ways to cope with it.

I was away last weekend, so did not get one of these posts out. I have managed most weeks for some years now. I will consider doing more entries on the #hivecountrylist if I get requests and will do the #BritList anyway at the weekend as I have done that monthly for years. I will not have time to maintain lists for other countries, but I am making the data available for others to work on.
