The News
Space troll Elon Musk has made an offer to buy Twitter. He has the money for it, but what would he do for it?
An old 'friend' of the Hive community had to get in on this.
What could either of them do with Twitter? Sun would want it on his blockchain whilst Elon may just want more freedom to do what he wants. This may be an opportunity to make more people aware that there are alternative platforms and Hive is one of them.
Many more people have added reviews of Hive on Sourceforge, so it features more promintently. @traciyork has posted about how to help.
Friday Follows
- German musician @cherilyn, who is a friend of @ravenmus1c, has joined Hive. Check out here music.
- @drwatson has been sharing pages of his horror comic with us for years and has a contest where you could be drawn by his artist.
- @epodcaster is one of those doing daily posts all month for #hiveblopomo. She has some interesting thoughts on social media from long experience.
- Runner @consciouscat became a minnow this week. It is always great to see people levelling up and gaining more power to do good on Hive.
- Another runner is @ervin-lemark who just ran a good marathon. These people inspire me.

The Doghouse
Another person is finding that upvoting all your own comments is not a good strategy. People are checking for that. @katharsisdrill has created a handy graphic to get the point across.
We all earn on Hive at the whims of the community. If you are seen as being selfish then your rewards can be reduced. You can earn by voting for others, so why not do that? They may return the favour. Just be sure to be sincere with your voting as people also check for 'voting circles' that are just there to generate income for a small group. Spread the benefits around.
The End
It is a long weekend in the UK and I do intend to spend a fair bit of it away from the keyboard. I am thinking about another 'crypto walk' where I will invite people to join me for a stroll in the country whilst talking about some of our favourite topics. Pubs may be involved too. Where I live is easily reached by train from London. I may just wait until the weather is more reliable, but stay tuned!
Hive five!
