Happy LPUD, I'm not actually Powering up as I'm saving all my liquid LEO to go into the A-LEO-CACAO pool at some point in the future, but I thought I'd do a quick tally of my LEO PREMIUM earnings, which have been very tasty this month just gone.
How to get Leo Premium....
It costs $10 to get LEO PREMIUM and I think you can sign up for it here - https://inleo.io/premium
It's a very easy process of just transferring $10 worth of HBDs via KeyChain and that'll last you month! I do believe there are offers for a year's subscription, but I'm sticking with month on month, works better for me!
How it works...
If you subscribe to Leo Premium then you get upvotes from the @leo.voter account which has oodles of Hive Power thanks to delegations.
You have post through the InLeo front end to qualify for LEO rewards and LV votes.
Somewhat ironically the chunky rewards are in Hive, NOT Leo!
June - July returns...
Well for my $10 I got around $50 worth of upvotes, and I get half of that (the other half goes to curators) so that's $25 back, or a 150% return on the Premium Subscription....
I got a vote roughly every 4 days, varying in value, but just above $5 is the usual mark...
I think this is fairly typical.
Slightly uncomfortable about this pay for vote model...
I'm not exactly sure how everyone thinks this is acceptable, but there seems to be a general consensus that there is.
I guess I can vaguely justify it through the fact that I'm more likely to Power Up my rewards than most?
Anyways, it feels like it's kind of silly not to do the Premium thing ATM while it's generally accepted, but it also feels kind of shady subscribing too.
TBH my main reason for doing it seeing the kind of nonsense that usually gets upvotes from the LV account, and then a lot of that just getting sold.
I think in the long run it would be better for the lEO team to drop the pay for vote aspect of Premium when there's more services available on the sub, maybe....?
