Weeklyish Running Update: Three standard and some Hills!

in #inleo4 months ago

So i've have had a solid 10 days or so running.....

Last week I got in my three standard runs, had few days off due to a weekend away and then work, but today I managed nice 5.5K hilly run around the Arnos Vale cemetery in Bristol, nice to get a short hills run in to mix it up!

Last Tuesday - Standard 5K

This was quite slow by my recent standards at 24.15 - I like to get in under 24 mins, but sometimes you're just feeling a bit knackered and so low 24s aren't too far off, holding!

Last Wednesday - Long ish 9K

It's kind of rare, but it's just the way the week worked out that I did my long run the day after my short run.

That partly explains why I shortened it, that and just being busy...

It was a fairly nice easy run with a fast ish 2K at the end.

Friday: Intervals!

I must have been in the mood for this, I tagged on three 200 metres at the end after 3 400s, a 6 and and 800.

Upping the pace on these, enjoy them!

Wednesday

Working away and this was my first evening run in AGES. Maybe even years!

Just headed out straight after work and ran around the cemeetery and park local to where I am staying, it's a massive cemetery, historic. Lots of hills too.

Felt a bit weird running through narrow pathways with all those graves, but there you go!

Nothing spectular given then hills - about 150M gain in 5Ks is quite steep mind!

Final thoughts...

It was tough getting back into it after 4 days off I had to out today, and I'm defo gonna try and get back on it for Friday, morning, and then maybe even TWO more over the weekend, working away again next week, may not be able to get one in until next Friday!

Very good numbers big brother, glad you're enjoying your runs man. Hills can be tough but they really make a difference in stamina. Keep at it, you're doing great bro, absolutely great 💯❤️

Well done on an active week. You have to fit in runs where you can. My preference is for doing them first thing in the morning.

Defo prefer am this was a very rare pm one!
