Greetings Dear Readers,

.

Hope you are well.

What a Principle...let's have a look...'He is wise who is nettled at nothing.'

The original Roman maxim translated read...'He is really wise who is nettled at nothing.' and we would probably agree.

How does one go about not getting nettled/irritated or in other words remain objective? Humility and teachability are key to objectivity.

Another Principle that deserves our consideration.

Thank you for visiting 'Principle of the Day'. ^__^

Principles are timeless truths presented here for our ponderance.

Although very true, it is quite a challenge to live by this. When things don't go one's way it usually results in frustration, stress, irritation which are normal reactions. It takes a really strong and grounded and yes, wise, person to go beyond these and remain unperturbed and calm. I still have a long ways to go to get to this stage 😔

Greetings @gems.and.cookies ,

Thank you for your kind and thoughtful reply.

Thus the word 'Principle'....because as you say it is quite the challenge...we cannot always remain objective but because we know the Principle we are aware of best practice then perhaps it gives us a standard when there is none....make sense?

Many a great man has lived by Principle, these timeless truths gave them guidance...when of course the easier thing to do would be to do that which is natural.

And don't we all have a ways to go...we never arrive...we just have the goal to live by Principle, by Truth.

Kind Regards, Bleujay

Sadly most never arrive. Only those called "Saints" do, I guess. But knowing we got closer to living the Principle than when we started is good enough reason to consider the journey as a success.

I wish you a step closer everyday towards living the Principle @bleujay.

So true Sir, Romans developed the idea of axioms, reflections, maxims and principles toward the idea of virtue and integrity but always found the ultimate of Integrity elusive though it was a mainstay of the their culture to challenge themselves in this way.

However it is the very idea....that man desires to be virtuous, that demostrates his need of God and God's plan for his life....This is where Christianity came in (not religion) and defined Integrity for them in such a way that they realised that the elusive Integrity could be found in God's plan for mankind.

Starting with God's plan of Salvation for mankind found in the verse of John 3.16...'For God loved the world so much that He sent His uniquly born Son, (Jesus Christ) so that anyone who believes in Him shall never perish but have eternal life.' and Ephesians 2.8,9...'For by Grace are you saved, and that not of yourselves, it is a gift from God, lest anyone should boast.'

Afterward the journey of learning wisdom through God's Word is Key to understanding life, and God's plan for you, and for me as you have wished, because Bleujay said 'Yes' to God's offer. He makes the offer....we choose...yes...or no.

Thank you for opportunity to speak regarding these things.

Kind Regards,

Bleujay

"Yes".
Amen 🙏

Very nice appearance

Greetings @mnurhiver ,

Thank you for your kind words.

Cheers, Bleujay

You're welcome Greetings to you too.

I think it's the same as you must open for suggestions. 😊 Greetings.😊

Greetings @fixyetbroken ,

Thank you for dropping by. ^__^

Yes...Being open to suggestions....is certainly a way of expressing objectivity indeed.

Thank you for your kind reblog of this post...appreciate it!

Cheers, Bleujay

You're welcome. 😊 It makes me happy when I understand your principle too.😊

Have a nice day.😊

It is difficult not to get irritated especially when we find people in our lives who do their best to achieve it. What I do is pretend and I do it very well, I camouflage it with a smile. The people who irritate me end up irritated when they hear my laughter, it seems fair to me.

Greetings @lupega ,

Interesting way of staying objective.

Cheers, Bleujay
