So I took a whole two and a half days off of work this week, the first of the year. Go me!
This is falling back into the old pattern of when I used to teach for a living, this week being half term, that means I've done six weeks on and then this week a half week.
I had planned to work Weds a.m. and do a three day week, one of the jobs is just so much easier if you check in at least every two days, but on Weds a.m. I was I just couldn't be arsed and just chilled for the morning...
Three days so different to five days
So my first 3 day week of 2025 has been.... unspectacular but awesome precisely because it has been unspectacular!
I haven't done very much but then again that was the intention, really just enjoyed the time off and chilled and slept and caught up with a few basic life admin chores...
I was down in London for most of it, just bobbling and bimbling about, mainly just staying in and taking one day at a time....
Grey days...
The weather mostly like this...
But that didn't really bother me too much I was prepped to just have in days which is fine and I did get a few slithers of sun from time to time.
Five days too much!
What I have learned from the whole experience is that five days working is definitely too much, two and half days MUCH MORE LIKE IT!
Work just brings more stress and life lived on the margins, as I call it.
And a bitter irony....
OFC today I got a phone call from the job that's supposed to be ending in March saying they might be keeping me on after all, and it's hard to turn down the money!
SIGH!
