Happy Mother's Day! (And Happy birthday to me :0)
There is such magnificence and beauty in this life. Yesterday- my birthday and a day to celebrate mothers-, I basked in both the shining sun and the gratitude I feel for life. For the people that I love. For how loved I am in return.
Poetry is hard for me, but I thought I'd give it another go. More of a song really...Enjoy :)
Every day I wake and say In a world that wants to hate today,
I Am love.
I look around from here to there, and see the fighting everywhere,
I am Peace.
Sadness and anger abounds, fear and suffering all around,
I Am Happiness.
If only we could see,
it all comes from within,
then maybe the division we could end.
So tomorrow when you wake up,
try this on for size,
look at everything
with a new light in your eyes...
...And sing it-
I Am Love, I Am Peace, I Am Happiness.
