I bought the sim high school years last year (2023) I decided to check it out and you can follow your sim to school and control them. Every Sims week or so if the prom. various situations can pop up and you choose how your sim reacts to it.
This is close to the Get to Work DLC where you can follow you Sim to work and control them, I like controlling them at work.
