A few words are enough for the wise…

Many times I get to ask myself several questions about life. There are times when I would just think deeply about how my life has been for sometime and how it would be in time to come. Then I realize that life is just multidimensional.

One thing I know for sure is that we are all indebted to gratitude. No matter the circumstance or the condition we found ourselves in, we are to be grateful. What you think you are facing at that moment that seem so hard on you. When you get to see or listen to someone’s story then you realize you are even doing way better and you should be grateful.

This is why we are all different, and most times the reason for our being ungrateful is due to the forgetful nature we have as humans. Yet we ought to keep ourselves in check by recalling our past and present. As we also tend to look forward to accomplishing things in life, thereby we shouldn’t forget to look back to where we’ve been coming from.

If we should look forward to the grace bestowed upon us, and not just some kind of anticipation towards living above our expectations always. Then there is a chance that we see reasons to remain grateful.

A man who is walking on two legs would be hopeful and wishing to get a car, he forgot about the fact that there are some on a wheelchair and can't move without a push. The man on a wheelchair would wish to have two legs so he can even run, he forgot that there are some disabled that don't even have a wheelchair to move around.

A lot of life examples about being grateful, and a lot of reasons to be grateful. Our act of ingratitude is the reason why we are having big problems in our generation and the ones to come. We tend to be in a haste to accomplish things in life. We don't care about what consistency really means or what dedication means. No one wants to practice the art of patience and endurance anymore. And this is where our ruin begins.

We tend to run a race in life. Our youths nowadays tend to see life as something heavy on their heart and want nothing else but the luxury of it. What took their grandparents centuries to accomplish, took their parents decades to achieve, we the generation of today want to achieve it in months. How is that going to happen?

We tend to compare our day 1 to other’s day 100. We tend to forget that we all have our races to run in life, we tend to forget that we are all breathing, eating and drinking, but our source of livelihood differs. Our backgrounds differ, and so does our upbringing.

There is nothing bad about working hard and smarter to make sure you live the life you envisioned for yourself which may be way different from that of your ancestors. But taking it beyond your reach is where the problem lies.

Few words to the younger generations.

Life is so strict and it also seems dense. But if you don’t understand life you will regret the fact that you thought you could take advantage of life, meanwhile it already took you an advantage.

One rule of life is NEVER TO COMPARE YOUR LIFE TO OTHERS.

You have mentors and role models, you are actually threading the path and footstep to become a better version of them. That’s cool. But the moment you start competing against others you have crossed a bridge of no return if care is not taken.

Competition is most times bringing out the best in us. But when you don't know your limit, your worth, your nature, and yet you feel competitive against others then there is no way you wont make regrets from it. There are times when the fastest would win the race, and there are times when slow and steady wins.
