One of the best ways of life is to live an easy life. No one would surely want the hard and stressful way, if not that it's just a part of life to face either of the two. I guess many people would surely go for anything that comes with ease.
So when we compare our lives nowadays to the life in the past, there is surely a huge difference between both, our present life makes things easier and so we are getting weaker. Those in the past lived a kinda hard life but to them, it wasn't hard because they were so stronger than we are.
So let's say everyone was created for a generation perfect for them. If Gen Z should live the lives of the generations before them I guess only a few would be able to withstand it.
For example, in the days when humans were used as an agricultural workforce, they were strong enough to withstand it then, though they wouldn't if they had a way easier choice. Down to that time, human labor was reduced and the use of beasts of burden was in use. That sounds easier and more effective. I am sure everyone loved the ease that comes from it.
Nowadays, the use of tractors and other machines has made life even easier and more efficient. Who would have an experience with a tractor and then opt for human labor?
We find ourselves in a generation where we prefer to do our things remotely rather than to have them physically. Classes, jobs, interviews, and many more are preferably done online rather than offline. Down to exams, we tend to have more online exams which come with a lot of ease than the physical stress from other types of examinations.
Down to reading books, people tend to prefer Ebooks rather than going to the library shelf to scout for a single book out of a thousand of them. And it's way easier to read anytime and anywhere having your device with you. That’s just one of the reasons we the people prefer ebooks rather than checking the library.
However, there are always advantages and disadvantages to everything. One thing I find as a disadvantage of reading virtually is the distraction that comes with it. At times we can easily get distracted from reading with our devices, compared to the full-time concentration you get when you read in the library.
All in all, it's always left to us to make a choice. Some are used to the ways of the library while some prefer to use their devices to read online. Whichever way fits and works well. And also depends on the type of book you want to read.
Some of the modern publications are digressing from printing to digital, so if you wanna read some up-to-date books then you might only find them online. And for the old and legendary books, you can hardly find them online. Because they are either handwritten or printed and kept in the library.
