Hello everyone, I welcome you all once again to my blog and I am very excited to write and participate in this week’s prompt. It’s been a while since I participated in the weekly prompt and I am thrilled to be a participant in this week. Today I will tackle the second topic, "SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS”. This week's topics are amazing as usual, the HiveGhana team is doing the most on the Hive blockchain and I think they deserve applause, Kudus!!! to you guys.

Without much ado, I would like to dive into the topic for tonight's article. I will be giving my thoughts about the Guinness World Records. This world record thing is something that I recently just became aware of. My first time hearing about it was when the Nigerian lady broke the record for the long hours of cooking which I think she did for about 116 hours or so. Now, I see a lot of challenges popping up here and there with individuals coming up to challenge and set new records.

I would say the Guinness World Record program is a nice thing because it awards the candidate so far as the rules of the game are met and also breaks the previous record and sets a new one. It's a competition; once you participate, you need to work harder to break the previous record. I know there are a lot of world records including; the oldest person ever, highest mountain, longest time breath held voluntarily (male), longest snake in captivity ever, longest fingernail on a pair of hands ever (female), longest time in an abdominal plank position (male), cook-a-thon, and a whole lot of records. These challenges are there on the internet and you can find them on the Guinness World Record website.

If you think that you can challenge in any of the records, you must submit your application to participate in that challenge, and once it gets approved you then go ahead and give in your challenge.

Well, it's not bad to participate in this kind of challenge, once you think you have the talent and you are capable of doing it, why not, do it for your country and you will surely benefit from it indeed. But then, before you go into it, you need to make sure that you are prepared and ready for the challenge you are going in for because so far, I don't see any of those records to be that easy to break and set a new one.

Looking at this cook-a-thon, today our very own Failatu who just completed the longest cooking hour challenge today after cooking for almost 10 consecutive days, that is 227 Hours non-stop. That is amazing right, yeah, she did and made it real, we are currently waiting for the results and once it gets approved, then she will be the new Record Holder for the COOK-A-THON Guinness World Record. That is a win for Ghana and we are very happy about that. Congratulations to her and Ghana at large.

I would like to use this opportunity to say a very big thank you to everyone who read my post. Thank you all for your time and attention.

She is really good at what she does. You write well too. I think you should do the write-a-thon too

evryone just wants to break records o, omo i really dont thinks its a bad ida though.

Wanting to break a record is actually not a bad thing at all. But you see we Africans, we just play too much.😂

This thing has just turned into a joke to most people. They just get up and want to break a record without knowing what it entails. 😂
