The heat is back in this part of the world. After a few good days of temperatures well below the average for this time of year, we are once again experiencing constant 30+ degrees Celsius every afternoon. I kind of miss these and not... On one hand, summer is about heat and dry air...
But on the other hand, you can't spend too much time out when there's too much heat, and I love being out and about. That's why my favorite season is spring, not summer. As much as I enjoy getting to the pool and stuff, I also like being out wearing shorts, t-shirts, and sports shoes without sweating like a pig.
The most vivid memories I have when it comes to summer are from my childhood holidays spent at my grandmother's house. It used to be fun back then; we lived in a different world with less tech than nowadays, but we were living the moment so intensely.
I used to participate in some of the chores required in the countryside, and some were pleasant, others not, but at the end of the day, it was all good and chill. I grew up getting to touch sunflowers every year and freshly picked grains.
I was part of the process... It felt nice... It felt like being in touch with nature much more than we are nowadays. The following photos in this post were taken from the monastery we have in town.
I'm not a religious person, but I like flowers, and I sure love photographing them; they had so many flowers over there, and to my surprise, they also had a sunflower among all others. I didn't touch it, but I allowed myself a pic or two with it.
Nothing much to say about the roses though – I've seen too much of them near my house. You know what else you can find in abundance near flowers? Bugs and bees... I guess a garden accurately describes how life is: beauty, fragrances, but nothing without bugs. Have a great day, everyone, and see you all next time.
Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
