Long gone are the noisy, warm days of summer when thousands of tourists flooded the town. On the one hand, I miss those days, but on the other, I have to admit—I prefer the silence and empty streets over the chaos of summer.
Today was pretty cold in this part of the world, but I still went for my daily walk. I’ve been doing this for over seven years now, ever since I got back home from Norway. Honestly, I can’t think of any good reason to be sedentary.
The park was nearly deserted. Just our ex-mayor and a bunch of old dudes gathered, chatting about politics—a topic I despise. So, I picked up my pace to get out of earshot of their nonsense.
I don’t believe in politics. It’s all fake.
This winter seems like a proper one, with low temperatures and, hopefully, some snow. I’m really craving snow, to be honest. The child in me misses the good old days when we had real winters here.
Back then, the town was also much livelier. After we “got accepted” into the EU, many locals migrated, and now my little hometown feels like a ghost town in winter. Still, it’s the ghost town I’ve chosen—for now.
That’s all from my side. Wishing you all a great day, and see you next time.
Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
