I have considered the current educational system to be flawed since I was in high school. School doesn't get you prepared for life and it is by design to be that way. I have had a post many months ago tackling the idea of whether we still need diplomas "to make it" in the world today and I still stand by my take that we don't actually need em anymore.
Technology is going to impact almost everything we get in contact with and blockchain will facilitate that. I'm not a fan of NFTs, never held any, but I have always said I believe in the technology behind NFTs and the concept of nonfungible tokens.
I don't see any value in BAYC NFTs and anything alike, but I can clearly see some value in Notorious NFT University. It's an e-learning project that grants access to the knowledge it aims at sharing with "its pupils" through NFTs. The NFTs are minted on the Elrond blockchain, the university is dedicated to Romanians and it is not traditional in any way.
So, what can you learn by joining it?
Well, they advertise themselves as being pros in entrepreneurship, crypto, WEB3/NFTs, and the metaverse. Regarding the metaverse, I'd say it's more hype than actual knowledge as we don't know yet much about how the metaverse will work and what the real use case of such a digital world shall be.
However, I'd rather pay 10 EGLD(the native token of the Elrond blockchain) to have access to such classes than to join a traditional Romanian university. Almost any of the offerings we currently have. I'd rather learn about social media monetizing, smart contracts/web3, and DeFi than some date crap the traditional schooling is still offering to students nowadays.
Even during the bear market, someone that possesses the minimum knowledge in the topics I mentioned above can earn more than almost any college graduate that we have in Romania. I have a diploma and it's useless. Traditional education is coming to an end same as traditional finances are in the last chapters of their existence.
What's very interesting about this Notorius e-learning project is that you can lend your NFT after all of them have been sold. You can basically "pay for your college", get educated and then sell the entry ticket to someone else. Doesn't that sound like the age of abundance? I'd say it does...
There are two levels of education you can adhere to, based on the NFTs you're purchasing. Access to the first level will cost you $600 and the second is $4,000, considering the current EGLD prices. Now the question that might arise is: can I find all the information shared with the university online, too?
I bet you can, but do you know what to search for? Well, probably the majority of us here already possess such type of knowledge, but there will for sure be many who don't and these are the ones that are targeted by Notorious. What do you think?
Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
